We understand that, as
Community leaders and Trustees, you have an obligation to your First Nation
to develop responsible long-term financial plans that meet the diverse
requirements of your community. Beutel Goodman assists Aboriginal groups by
employing a conservative approach to managing their financial resources,
protecting and growing the assets of First Nations’ Trust portfolios over time. We specifically focus on: Ø
Safety of Capital
– Protecting First Nation’s money is our first
priority Ø
Income Generation
– Meeting the First Nations’ annual spending requirements Ø
Growth of Capital
– Making sure money is available for your children and future
generations We have worked hard to
create new relationships with many different Aboriginal groups and
people. In an effort to support and
learn more about Aboriginal culture and issues, we are committed to the
following organizations: Ø
National Aboriginal Trust Officers Association (Partners) Ø
Council for the Advancement of Native
Development Officers (Members) Ø
University of Toronto Aboriginal Scholarship
(Co-Sponsors) Ø
Native Canadian Centre of Toronto (Members) We have participated in
Aboriginal Cultural Awareness seminars, as well as native ceremonies. We have attended, sponsored and spoken
at many Aboriginal conferences and workshops. We are proud to currently
manage the investments of 12 Aboriginal groups, including an Aboriginal
foundation that we have supported in its efforts to network and raise
funds. We work with First Nations to help educate Chief and
Council, Trustees and communities to better understand investing and
financial management of the community’s Trust portfolio. We have delivered
education seminars to First Nations and we would be delighted to provide
seminars to your First Nation community as well. As
mentioned above, Beutel Goodman currently manages the assets of 12
Aboriginal groups across the country and we continue to develop our
understanding of Native culture and issues. We are committed to building
closer relationships within the Aboriginal community and we would consider
it a privilege to partner with your First Nation. We
would be delighted to learn about your First Nation and to provide
additional information about Beutel Goodman. Please contact: Steven Smith, Vice President at 1-800-461-4551 or
